Seth & Meredith {Maternity} :: Greensboro, NC Photography

Ahhh...pregnancy. Seriously one of the most treasured moments in my life. Sadly, I do not have pictures to remind myself of how my body changed. I have memories...but let's be real...if you've ever been pregnant you know what gets remembered! It's not the amazing, magical memory of you growing a perfect human being inside your body! Nor is it how thick and luscious your hair got. Or that your skin was perfect for those 10 months. And everybody told you how beautiful you looked and that you were positively glowing. Well, all of the above is 100% true of Meredith. She looks absolutely perfect. Like God created her to specifically grow this little girl inside of her perfectly round belly! I am absolutely thrilled that I was able to capture her beauty as she carried this little girl inside of her. I hope she looks back on these pictures and remembers how amazing she looked. More importantly, I hope she remembers the little details of her pregnancy. Baby flutters, hard kicks, legs jammed in ribs, and those sweet baby hiccups! And lets not forget about her hubby, Seth! He kind of glowed too! I'm sure he can't wait to hold his sweet baby girl in his arms for the first time. And I know that he is absolutely amazed by his beautiful wife and the fact that she is carrying his child.

Sweetness

They are too adorable together!

And they love Starbucks!

Love, love this background and how perfect they coordinate with it!

Beautiful couple.

Gorgeous.

Top view!

Simply stunning.

Love how peaceful and content she looks.

Perfect baby bump!

They are going to be wonderful parents!

Pregnancy. One of the most amazing moments in life. Congratulations to both of you! I can't wait to meet baby girl and capture all of the special moments that go beyond pregnancy and into the actual life that has been created! God is good!

PS: I am not done editing their gallery. Expect another blog post on this session soon!

Jeff & Joelle {Engagement} :: Greensboro, NC Photography

When Joelle responded to my offer for a free engagement session I was really excited! She is seriously one of the most laid back people I know (unless it's about her teaching...she's totally hardcore and an awesome math teacher!). I knew her and her fiance, Jeff, would have no problem letting me figure out new things to do and different places to go. Which ended up being a really good thing because the Saturday we did the session was FREEZING! And ridiculously windy! My fingers got so numb I could hardly press the shutter button! But they did wonderfully and we got some really awesome pictures! They are too cute together and I was so glad to have captured their laid back personalities while at the same time making it pretty clear that they absolutely adore each other! Enjoy!

Perfect fit!

The ring.

They are so sweet together!

It was sooo cold they left their hoods on...and it was too cute!

Yes, he really is this sweet to her always!

The bling!

Love the colors and this awesome door! And the sneaky kiss behind that door!

Our favorite of the session! This is so them! I love it! :)

Forever.

A borrowed moment. So clearly in love.

So romantic.

I just have to add that immediately after that last picture a HUGE gust of wind came sweeping through those buildings and the next image is hilarious! But, we'll keep that one off the web for now! Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege of showing the world your deep love for each other! You are both a joy to know! Prayers for a strong and happy marriage!

Baby Jackson {Baby & Family} :: Greensboro, NC Photography

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this amazing family with the most inspiring story! I didn't expect my first formal photo session to be such an emotional one, but I wouldn't trade this opportunity for anything! They have been through so much, and I don't think I can put it any better than Tony did on his facebook:

"So, just to recap. In the last 3 months I have watched my wife flirt with death and constant pain, comforted my son through surgery when he was less than a week old, we have lived in a hospital for 2 months, we have temporarily moved out of our house so that Ashley and Jack can have support during the day, I have started taking classes to finish my degree at Garner Webb, Ashley is transitioning from her job to disability, and to top it off, this morning I quit my job after 7 years to pursue a promising new opportunity. We are starting over fresh in many ways and I am exited about what the future holds. I love and appreciate my wife and my son much more for what we have been through. And we are forever in debt to the many people that have helped us through it all. In football terms, this will be a rebuilding year."

With all that being said, please meet this amazing family! I know my outlook on life has shifted since spending a morning with them!

Sweet Baby Jackson! 3 months new! So incredibly precious!

Sweet baby toes!

Weigh in! Love chunky butts!

It's amazing how quickly we forget those tiny fingers!

Warming up little Jack while waiting for a set-up change!

Past Sessions!! {Update} :: Greensboro, NC Photography

Since I am starting this blog two months after actively pursuing this dream, I have lots of photos to upload and share with everyone! Rather then go crazy on one post and bombard you all with all the photos, I'll give each session their own post! So stay tuned...they're coming!

Finally... :: Greensboro, NC Photography

Going to jump in and start my photog blog! I've been actively pursuing photography for 2 months now, working closely with a couple of friends, seeking out other photographers for a possible mentor relationship, and started my first photography class! I've been taking pictures every day and I have completed 5 full out photo sessions (boudoir, baby/family, two engagements, and a maternity) and I can see my work improving! I've hesitated to start a blog and go ahead and call myself a "photographer" because I feel that is a title that I haven't earned yet. But I think it's time I start trusting myself and put confidence in my work. I've had plenty of people seek me out to do their pictures, "clients" who are more than happy to pay for the work I have done for them, even though I have offered the sessions for free, and have been getting referrals. I think all of that is finally letting me realize that I am talented, I do have something to offer, I'm trying to get better and better, and I should place a value to my work! So I am now going to invite all of you in to view my work and help me to grow! My goal is for each session to be better than the last. So please, feel free to leave a comment, whether that be to tell me how awesome I am or maybe not so much and what I can improve on! I hope you enjoy this blog and viewing my work as much as I love to create and produce what you are about to see!
